A medium sized, narrow growing, deciduous tree with toothed mid-green leaves, turning yellow in autumn. Retains its narrow shape when old, unlike Fastigiata. Green hop like fruit clusters are produced in spring. Grows in most soils in sun or part shade. Height 7m, spread 1.5m after 10 years.
