The Potted Garden is keen on wildlife and is proud to be a sponsor of the Kent Wildlife Trust.
We have a wildlife area, with a bird hide for visitors to watch our feathered and furry ‘friends’ from. Some of the creatures we have seen include a pair of ducks, a stoat, a weasel and even a hedgehog! We have hung a board in the hide on which you will find details of all the species of birds seen in the garden, for such a small area it’s quite a long list.
The photographs above are of a Great Tit using our small pond for a bath, a Common Toad which was taking shelter from a Magpie in one of the tunnels, a Blue Tit collecting nesting material and a Great Tit coming to the hand for some mealworms to feed to its young.
